Fine Motor Activities for Toddlers
My toddler is deep in a "put stuff in stuff" stage, so this is the biggest category on the blog. These are the sit-at-the-table ones: posting cards into a box, pushing pipe cleaners into holes, peeling pom poms off sticky tape.
The range is wide. The baby wipe lid photo board went 20+ minutes and is how she learned her aunt and uncle's names. Cards in a box got 1 minute 28 seconds, and that minute was everything. Pipe cleaners in a colander was an immediate no. I wrote that one up anyway, because the flops tell you as much as the hits.
